After the ending of Mortal Kombat 11, the whole series received a reboot with its upcoming part. The upcoming installment in the series, Mortal Kombat 1, will release on September 19. Fans of the series are eagerly waiting for the game to drop. Furthermore, in-game characters performing unique and violently aesthetic moves are the best thing about the game. And this in-game character roster is expanding, with Homelander, Omni Man, and Peacemaker, among others, joining the game.

Mortal Kombat is one of the most popular series in the fighting game genre. Moreover, the major takeaway of the game is the immersive combat features, along with gorey and bloody battles and finishers. This makes this series a hit among the fan base. Furthermore, Mortal Kombat is famous for adding guest characters in-game as part of DLC packs. They not only add more content to the gorey and unique finishers of the game but also expand the roster of playable characters.

Mortal Kombat 11 added Terminator and Robocop as its DLC characters, while Mortal Kombat 9 had Kratos and Freddy Krueger. The upcoming title from NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 1, is continuing this tradition by adding some of the most violent and bloody fictional characters, like Homelander, Omni Man, Peacemaker, and more, to the game.

Fans know that all three of these fictional characters, Homelander, Omni Man, and Peacemaker, are a few of the most violent and brutal fictional characters. Moreover, all a good Mortal Kombat game needs are characters that can cut open and pop the bones out of your opponents. That is a classic Monday morning for Mortal Kombat fans. And their wishes have been heard. These characters are coming to the game as part of the game’s DLC, Kombat Pack 1, as revealed during the San Diego Comic-Con.

Previous leaks hinted at the addition of Homelander and Omni-Man to the game, but it’s been confirmed now. Moreover, Peacemaker will be joining the fray along with these two and others. Certain cult classic Mortal Kombat characters like Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka are also coming to the game in this DLC pack. All these characters are a great addition to the game, considering the portrayal of their characters in their respective shows or comics. 

Kombat Pack 1 will also feature a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for the character Johnny Cage, plus five new Kameo fighters: Ferra, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Tremor. The standard edition of Mortal Kombat 1 will drop on September 19, while the Collector’s Edition will be released five days before the global launch for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
