All of Morocco rejoiced at 8 p.m. Arabian Standard Time when their national football team defeated Portugal in an upset during the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar. As a result, Morocco made World Cup history by being the first African team to get to the semifinals.

Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who struck a goal past Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa in the 42nd minute, was the game’s hero. It ultimately proved to be the game-winner, helping Morocco defeat the strongly favored Portugal national team.

Pokimane was thrilled about her native country winning in the quarterfinals because she was born in Morocco and has Moroccan ancestry. They are the first African team in World Cup history to go to the semifinals, the streamer added. Additionally, Pokimane’s supporters shared her joy and congratulated her and the Moroccan squad.

Ronaldo’s hardcore fans include American YouTube streamer IShowSpeed, who was present at the quarterfinal encounter in Qatar. After Portugal’s defeat, he shared a dejected selfie, sad that his idol didn’t get the happy ending that he and the supporters had hoped for.
