In a shocking turn of events, Pokimane revealed that a streamer industry expert used her name to manipulate other women. She broke down while sharing this news as she described that these women placed their trust on her.

The incident took place last month but the Twitch streamer decided to share this on her March 2 live stream. Poki explained that the person in question here is someone whom she as well as other streamers used to work with. “Someone who was also employed at a large company,” she added.

She later noted that the person has targeted girls at her community by falsifying a romantic relationship with her. Pokimane continued that the guy used to leak privileged information he gathered from his job. He even threatened to harm himself, provided that the women turn against him.

The 26-year-old content creator then proceeded to share other details, “he is well networked in the industry, he knows many streamers,” she added that the industry pro has worked with several streamers and has also helped them in various projects.

Diving deeper into the story, the streamer stated that a few months ago several women from her community wished to speak with her manager. “They proceeded to send my manager countless screenshots and videos of their conversation with him,” adding that these served as the evidence of manipulation.

Explaining, how the person reached out to this women, Pokimane said that the guy used to follow her viewers. He also had the upper hand because he had a lot of connections in the industry. “He seemed like a trustworthy guy,” Poki opined.

However, he gained other women’s trust after sharing some photoshopped Discord messages with Pokimane. “He acted like he knew and hung out with me and my friends,” she later added that she has never met him in person.

She broke down while concluding the discussion as she remarked that he misused her name to gain other’s trust. Poki expressed her disappointment at the whole scenario.

The Twitch clip was shared by eSports journalist Jake Lucky. Several users expressed their astonishment at this situation noting that it is disgusting to see people in power, engaging in such stuff.

Pokimane decided to keep this person anonymous throughout her story. She didn’t wish to highlight the victims here but Twitterati claims that the person should be exposed completely.
