Pokimane Wordle Fail Is Being Roasted By Chat
Speculations on Pokimane switching to YouTube from Twitch
Pokimane, a hugely popular Twitch streamer, has recently been the target of internet shaming following a misunderstanding over yesterday’s Wordle challenge. The Moroccan-Canadian inventor is one of today’s most popular and well-known live-streamers, having recently made headlines for her dispute with fellow streamer Ninja.
Wordle has been a major sensation among dedicated and casual players alike when it first appeared on the free-to-play gaming landscape late last year. The game is so popular that it has already spawned a slew of knockoffs and spin-offs. Players identify different five-letter phrases with a distinct theme, such as the Lord of the Rings-themed clone Lordle of the Rings or the crass Lewdle, whose answers are confined to dangerous, NSFW words.
Some variants, such as the Wordle battle royale clone or Quordle, which is Wordle multiplied by four, have entirely changed the gameplay. Wordle was immediately taken up by streamers who revisited it, as is usual of viral games.

Pokimane in news again!
Pokimane, for example, was mocked by her audience yesterday after failing to recognise the common term “other.” Pokimane was about to submit “other” as a guess before querying whether it was a valid word in the stream, which was reported on by Dexerto.
Pokimane instantly recognised her error as her chat was flooded with laughing emoticons, claiming that she was thinking of the term “author” and mistook “other” for a typo. It turns out that “other” was the correct word of the day, which only adds to the amusement of the misunderstanding.
Twitch is a massively popular streaming platform, with popular video games like Grand Theft Auto V bringing in billions of views. With such a massive viewer base, top creators like Poki can be under a lot of pressure when streaming, and mistakes are bound to happen. Considering this, a short-lived brain fart like the one exhibited by Pokimane is certainly understandable. And luckily (or unluckily), sharp-minded Wordle players in her chat were willing to help
Poki appeared to be in on the joke when she ended her stream in humour after realising her mistake. This is a rather mild case of internet taunting, and it’s nice that it didn’t progress into more serious bullying. With that in mind, Pokimane may have to wait a long before attempting to utilise “other” as a guess in Wordle.
