Twitch has been constantly popping up in dramas throughout the internet for a while. However, for a while, it’s not due to the streamers acting out on the platform but to Twitch itself. Twitch’s outrageous community guidelines and its terms and conditions have banned many streamers for nonsensical reasons. However, there have been many near misses too. And this time, it seems like Kai Cenat almost dodged a bullet once again!
Twitch has been banning people left and right. And due to these unnecessary bans, many streamers are leaving Twitch for other platforms. This is all due to Twitch’s out-of-place TOS & guidelines. However, sometimes these guidelines can be threatening. Moreover, this time, the almost-latest victim would’ve been Kai Cenat. However, the famous streamer was let go with just a warning, and thankfully, nothing much happened.
The reason for the warning was something non-hostile but intolerable by Twitch. Moreover, this happened during Kai Ceant’s latest Twitch livestream. So what exactly happened, and what was the reason behind it? Let’s dwell on that.

Kai Cenat risks a ban on Twitch due to Utopia listening party
Kai Cenat has recently hit a 100K sub count on Twitch for another time and is getting much praise for it. However, this achievement would have gone down the drain due to his recent theatrics on a live stream. As the new album from Travis Scott, Utopia, came out recently, Kai wanted to hear it on stream with a listening party. However, what the streamer had forgotten was the Twitch guideline against copyrighted content.
Twitch has very strict guidelines against streaming copyrighted songs on the platform. And did exactly that by playing Utopia, a copyrighted album, on his livestream. The Twitch TOS reads,
“Using unauthorized music on Twitch may result in a rights holder sending a takedown request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or similar laws or through a separate contractual process. If a rights holder sends Twitch one of these takedown requests against content on your Twitch channel, it can result in enforcement against your channel, up to and including account termination.”
Although Kai Cenat didn’t get a ban for it yet, the portion with the album has been muted by Twitch. As of right now, it’s uncertain whether the stream would get a ban for playing Travis Scott‘s new album on the live stream since his Twitch page is still available. Fans are hoping that the streamer isn’t hit with a takedown right after surpassing a milestone on sub counts.
