Can Indian teams participate at PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022?
The PUBG Mobile World Invitational tournament for this year had been announced with a bigger prize pool compared to the previous year. Not only that, some notable changes were made to the tournament format as well allowing players to have an increased competition among themselves.
The qualified teams for the main tournament as well as Afterparty Showdown were already revealed among which Team Soul and 7Sea Esports, two Indian teams were supposed to be seen. However, things might have started to take a different turn as the sudden ban of BGMI came as a shocker to everyone.
Naman ‘Mortal’ Mathur spoke for millions of BGMI fans in the country to express that the trust of several players will break if one of the biggest eSports game is taken down by the government. He even tagged the Ministry of Information and Technology to bring this matter in front of them and remains hopeful for Krafton to take favorable decision.
When asked about Team Soul’s participation at the upcoming global tournament of PUBG Mobile, he revealed that it will be known by Tuesday. His team will be sent an official notice from Krafton confirming about the status of their participation at this tournament.
As for 7Sea Esports, the owners have not commented anything on this matter but it seems if Team Soul is denied the permission, a similar fate will be kept for this team which got a direct entry to the Afterparty Showdown from the BGMI Showdown qualifiers. The only thing that these teams can do is now ‘wait’ for an official announcement.
