PUBG Mobile players woke up to a big announcement made by Tencent on the social media handles of the game. Even though a teaser was provided beforehand as to what players can expect from the announcement, players got the details in a special video which revealed that the official version of Livik will be released in the 2.0 update.
The popular battle-royale game has released several maps for the players with varying sizes and player count. Each map offers a new gameplay experience to the players as well as compels them to adopt a different gameplay strategy.

PUBG Mobile 2.0 update will bring official Livik map
Livik has been an entertaining map for the players for a long time. The map which was originally released in the 0.19.0 update during June 2020 is available in its beta version currently and players have wondered for quite a while as to when the official version will be released in the game.
Fortunately, an announcement made by Tencent has provided the players with a release date of Livik map official version. This version will apparently be available in the 2.0 update which is scheduled to release in the month of May. Players have been waiting to know the new features of 2.0 patch and this announcement was definitely a surprise.
How Livik’s official version will be different from beta?
A sixteen minute video uploaded on the official PUBG Mobile YouTube channel has pointed out the differences between the official and beta version of Livik map. Livik is relatively a smaller map and only 52 players can land at this map. Here are the new features of official version-
New Themed areas
Midstein
The most popular hotdrop of Livik will undergo a massive change in PUBG Mobile 2.0 update. The developers have overhauled Midstein as new buildings will be interspersed with alleys and roads which will give a modern outlook to Midstein. Players will be welcomed by a huge gate at the entrance.
Blomster
Blomster will also become a major attraction in the upcoming patch as it will introduce a soccer ground amidst the congested buildings of Livik. Players can engage in leisurely activities at this new soccer ground.
Apart from these major hotdrops, Lumber Yard will be renamed as the Logistics Centre as players will find more warehouses. Apart from that, Iceborg will also undergo some changes.
New vehicle
A new vehicle named UTV will be available in the official version of Livik in PUBG Mobile 2.0 update. Compared to the Monster Truck, the UTV will be more compact and can easily pass through hill sides and alleys.
XT weapons shop
XT weapons are exclusive to the Livik map. These weapons differ from the original weapons as it provides more damage to the enemies. Players can now obtain these weapons from the supply shops. The coins of these shops will be available scattered around the map.
New gameplay and features
Soccer challenge
The soccer pitch isn’t just for show in Blomster which means players will be able to play Soccer in this ground. They can score goal and obtain points with their friends. As it’s a new feature, many enemies might land here which means players should be alert all the time.
Advanced Supply zones
Once players enter the Livik map in PUBG Mobile 2.0 update, they can open the mini map to check the advanced supply zones. These zones will appear at random where players can land to find a significant amount of supplies.
