After bringing colors to PUBG Mobile with its Vibrant Anniversary Mode in the 1.9 update, Tencent is gearing up for the release of PUBG Mobile 2.0 update which is scheduled to be released in early May. A lot of new content and exciting collaborations have been prepared for the players.

After an interval of two months, players can look forward to new content in the game while keeping the battle-royale concept of the game alive. Over the recent months, Tencent has been adding various new elements in the game to keep the players occupied.

PUBG Mobile 2.0 update expected features

Few days ago, the beta version link for PUBG Mobile 2.0 update was made available for the players. While some leakers have been able to show the new features of the next patch, Tencent gave us a surprise by revealing what to expect from the upcoming updates in a YouTube video of sixteen minutes duration.

Players can finally have access to the official version of Livik map in PUBG Mobile 2.0 update. While the map will remain small compared to other maps, players can expect to see some new themed areas such as redesigned Midstein, new weapon purchasing weapons as well as a new vehicle named UTV.

Classic BR improvements

A lot of modifications will be made in the classic maps to provide players with an optimal battle-royale experience. Players landing in the Erangel and Miramar map will be able to pick up a new item named Emergency SOS which will help the players to reach the playzone with the help of parachute. Apart from that, the Royal Arena Assault mode will be added to Sanhok.

A notable feature that will be added in PUBG Mobile 2.0 update will be the Haptic Feature. This sensory type feature will alert the players as their devices will vibrate once there are footsteps or gunshots in the mini map. This feature will also work when payers jump or are hit by gunshots.

A revamped security version for the players will be available starting from the May update. Cheaters and hackers will be detected more efficiently and players will be able to get real time updates for the hackers. The cutting-edge technology developed by Tencent will be extremely beneficial for the players.

Upcoming collaborations

PUBG Mobile collaborations

For the crossover content, Tencent has decided to collaborate with Evangelion, BLACKPINK and GD Teddy Bear. The Evangelion collaboration will be available on 22nd May for the players whereas rest of the crossovers will be seen at a later date. It is important to note that this marks the second collaboration of the game with BLACKPINK.
