PUBG PC 15.2 Update

Krafton had recently released the patch notes of PUBG PC 15.2 update in their official website. The patch notes have revealed several new modern features that will be seen in the new update. This article has mentioned all the details regarding new content of the upcoming update.

PUBG PC or what is now known as PUBG Battlegrounds is the inspiration of several battle-royale games. This game became an instant hit in PC gaming and its mobile titles are now ruling the gaming industry. The game which had to be bought previously will shift to a free model from January 12 as announced at Game Awards 2021. The F2P transition will bring a lot of new players and the developers have prepare some unique elements in PUBG PC 15.2 update.

PUBG PC 15.2 update patch notes

For the upcoming update, the developers have informed that the maintenance schedule may take longer than usual as rewards need to be provided to the existing players of PUBG Battlegrounds. The update will roll out on 12th January,2022 globally, although, it is unknown whether the PUBG PC can be played in India.

Tactical Gear

Drones

With the new update, PUBG is shifting to become a modern game by adding tactical gears such as Drones. Players will be able to scout their enemies within a distance of 300 metres. It will be available in every map and spawn in Normal Matches, Custom Games, Training Mode, and Sandbox Mode. It can also pick up a single item such as bandages and players can recall the drones to obtain the item. It is, however, important to note that the drones have a low HP and can be damaged easily.

EMT Gear

Another tactical gear in PUBG PC 15.2 update that will increase the healing potential of the players as well as their teammates, although, their flexibility at combats will be reduced. It will spawn in every map just like drones and consist of 2 stack of bandages along with it. After using the EMT gear, players can enjoy several benefits such as it will take only 3 seconds to heal and revive teammates. Bandages and First Aid Kit will stock up maximum health for the players.

New Tutorial Mode

Tutorial Mode

Krafton has added a new Tutorial mode in PUBG Battlegrounds to help the new as well as returning players to imporve their combat skills before landing into the battlegrounds. Players will go through 5 stages in this mode-

  • Basic character movements
  • Looting and shooting guns
  • Looting and throwing throwables
  • Using healing items
  • Reviving knocked down teammate

The Action Queuing feature is going to become a major assist to the players that will be introduced in PUBG PC 15.2 update. This new feature implies that players can queue up their next action by pressing and holding the button while a certain action is in progress. Win 94 & VSS improvements

PUBG PC update 15.2 update has made improvements to the snipers Win94 and VSS. Win 94 will again have the iron sight to assist players in close combat. Players can switch between the scopes and iron sights. Only the 3.5x scope was available in VSS, but the improvement has added a canted sight in the weapon.

Screen Ping Marker

The existing screen ping system has been improved in PUBG PC 15.2 update and added into a place where players can see the ping easily. The screen ping system will be available in all Solo, Duo and Squad Modes. Ping markers are distinguishable by the following three categories.

  • Vehicles
  • Location
  • Everything else

Apart from this, certain modifications have been made to the mini map and the developers have also fixed some bugs and pertaining issues in the game. Players can pre-register to access the free version of PUBG.
