Rockstar Games reportedly set to reveal GTA 6 this week with the official trailer coming next month in December

GTA 6 has been the talk of the gaming community since late 2017-18. Players have been waiting for the next instalment of the glorious and beloved Grand Theft Auto franchise for over a decade. Many insiders and leakers have been giving out drops of information and some people are coming up with their own theories. Every week fans hear that Rockstar is soon releasing an official statement about the game however, they haven’t got anything.

But this time a solid source has confirmed that fans are near the official reveal of GTA 6. Rockstar Games has already revealed at the start of 2022 that they are working on the highly anticipated sixth instalment of GTA. Later that year, someone leaked the massive amount of unfinished footage of GTA 6 which gave players an idea of what to expect in the game.


These leaks also factored in Rockstar halting any further announcements and reportedly also pushed the release date further.

Bloomberg report confirmed the GTA 6 reveal is imminent

The prominent video games journalist and author at Bloomberg Jason Schreier revealed on X that the sources have confirmed Rockstar Games is planning to announce Grand Theft Auto 6 as early as this week followed by the full-length trailer release next month. Since Schreier is the one who revealed this news and not random content creators, fans can actually believe this news as he has a big name in gaming journalism.

In addition to that, Rockstar Games will celebrate its 25th anniversary next month in December so it affirms the release of the trailer on the big occasion. A few months back, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick in an interview explained why the GTA 6 is taking a very long time. He said,

 “I think that’s a challenge that the folks that Rockstar face every time there’s a new iteration of GTA. It needs to be something you’ve never seen before on the one hand, and it needs to reflect the feeling that we have about Grand Theft Auto… Now, Rockstar’s answer is just to seek perfection. Seek nothing short of perfection, and we’ll get there.”

Additionally, in a different interview, Zelnick said that they are expecting to generate around $8 billion during the fiscal 2025 through upcoming titles which confirmed that GTA 6 is coming around 2025.

“We leave the announcement of upcoming titles to our labels and we have said we have a very robust pipeline of titles and we have a great outlook for fiscal 2025 where we’ve reiterated our belief that we’ll generate about $8 billion in net bookings,”

Through the massive unfinished footage leaks, fans already know that GTA 6 will feature a female protagonist for the first time. In addition to that, Rockstar Games will be going back to Vice City which is based on the Magic City, Miami. So like Ned Luke( Micheal from GTA 5) has said, it will be worth the wait and fans have to keep calm for just a few days for the GTA 6 official reveal.
