You can compare the PlayStation Showcase with E3. Sony unveils new plans for how they will be moving forward in the upcoming year. They will also be talking about the next chapter for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and VR (virtual reality).

Date for Sony PlayStation Showcase
Popular game journalist Jeff Grubb posted on Twitter on May 8, hinting at the date of the Sony PlayStation Showcase. “Week of May 25,” because that’s probably the latest that it could happen. But it could happen earlier. I just don’t want to say the week of May 21 and then people get mad when it doesn’t happen on a Sunday.“
Sony revealed the date for the PlayStation Showcase to take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time and 9 p.m. British Time earlier today on their Twitter page.
The official blog post reads that the show will run just over an hour and will focus on various studios showing off their in-development games for PS4, PS5, and VR2. Furthermore, we will also see glimpses of games from the PlayStation Studio and from Indie creators.
