Pokimane terms her Twitch ban as totally fair
Imane “Pokimane” Anys recently received her first ban on the the most popular streaming platform, Twitch. While many fellow streamers reacted on her ban claiming it not so much of a big deal, the female streamer actually came out in support of her temporary ban on the platform.
Twitch has been the most preferred streaming platform for internet personalities and recently, the TV show meta has been in the trend among renowned streamers where they are running a long stream of movies or reality shows. Prominent faces of Twitch such as xQc, Disguised Toast had been frequently involved in broadcasting Master Chef and Naruto respectively. The latest challenge taker was Pokimane who later faced a ban.

How did Pokimane react to her Twitch ban?
Pokimane has been a part of Twitch since 2013 and has established herself to become a popular female streamer in the platform. Her topsy-turvy journey on Twitch has been witnessed by her fans where she was caught in near ban situation many times. However, when she was finally banned on Twitch following DMCA claims after her Avatar stream, fans were shell shocked.
She was streaming the popular Nickelodeon show, Avatar the Last Airbender for a while with the peak viewership of over 20-30K. Her Avatar broadcast came after her fellow streamer Disguised Toast’s recent live streams on popular shonen anime Naruto which he calls ‘Oturan’. Toast later mocked at Pokimane but at the same time he deleted his previous clips from two weeks.
The 23-year-old high profile streamer, however, did not lose her cool after receiving the ban and instead tweeted jokes on the incident. She considered her ban to be “totally fair” saying that, “It was inevitable that publishers would take action, on me or someone else, during this react meta.” Pokimane was not at all surprised on this incident, unlike her fans who broke the internet.
Pokimane’s 48 hour Twitch ban will conclude today and she is apparently going to host a long stream where fans will be able to view her take on DMCA violation. On the other hand, Fans of other popular streamers who have joined the trend are curious to know if Twitch takes an action against them.
