Valkyrae and Pokimane discuss Ninja’s announcement, wonder if it’s a marketing gimmick

A few days back, Ninja shook the whole internet when he announced that he would be going on a break for an indefinite period of time, removing the profile picture from his account, changing his name to “User Not Found” and his twitter banner reading “Time Out”. Many fans speculated if this was more than a break, and even a potential retirement for him, while others thought this was a marketing ploy as the announcement came soon after his Twitch Partnership had ended
During a recent Valorant stream while waiting in the ingame lobby, Pokimane was asked by her teammate HasanAbi whether she had any idea about why Ninja seems to be possibly quitting streaming. Pokimane and Valkyrae seemed quite shocked to hear the news, Pokimane claiming she had no idea about it.
After examining Ninja’s twitter profile, she exclaimed-
"Why did he change his username to ‘User Not Found'?... What the heck is 'User Not Found' thing? I feel like that’s a little intense."

Valkyrae claimed that Ninja “went all out for this”, citing the changed username, removed profile picture and the “time out” banner. Pokimane went on to read comments implying this might be a marketing scheme, saying-
"I guess we’ll see.... I feel like he could have done all this, just not change the icon or name."
HasanAbi pointed out that all this just makes it seem like he has left social media, informing Pokimane that Ninja’s Twitch Partnership had also ended recently. She confirmed the same by seeing the absence of a Subscribe button on his Twitch page.
Streamer burnout has become a more prevalent issuee in recent times, with Pokimane herself taking a break from all content creation and Valkyrae also claiming that she is trying to focus on things other than streaming as well at the moment. Fans of Ninja can only wait and watch what his next move will be.
