Valkyrae explains why she was forced to sleep with a knife by her side

Valkyrae has amassed a large fan base over the years and is one of the most recognisable faces in the streaming industry. Unfortunately, we’ve seen some of those fan communities’ bad actors go too far in their attacks on the social media personalities they follow.

After hearing an odd sound in the middle of the night on the eve of her Feb 23 stream, the 30-year-old 100T executive was wary of something similar happening.

“I slept with this because we heard a really loud noise,” Valky explained. She went on to say, “It sounded like someone was breaking in last night… We slept with all the lights on.”

Members of the streaming house investigated the peculiar sound and concluded that it was raccoons invading the trash cans, which had not been put out for weekly pickup.

However, they were unable to corroborate their suspicions. Valkyrae has a tendency of picking up big blades and displaying them on the wall for special occasions like this.

“It was kind of nice,” she explained. “Because I did feel like someone was breaking in and I really liked that I went and grabbed my knife off the wall like I always envisioned.”

Valkyrae showed her stream the massive knife she chose in her moment of valour, which was fortunately not needed.
