“There isn’t anything new or exciting to me”: Valkyrae talks about future plans regarding streaming and other endeavors

Valkyrae explained why she has been streaming lesser lately
In a recent livestream, the streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter revealed some of her plans regarding streaming in the coming days and explained why she had been streaming less as of late.
She stated that she would be leaving early from Sh*tCamp 2022, an event organised by fellow streamer QTCinderella, to go to the New York Fashion Week as well as another undisclosed event.
Valkyrae reveals current outlook on streaming
Valkyrae also stated that the “Roomies” will also be meeting her in New York and one of them might IRL stream while there. She added that she doesn’t like IRL streaming on YouTube as the IRL backpack has to go through an extra step for streaming on the platform and that the delay in chat makes it unbearable for her to interact with the chat.
She also talked about how many people claimed that she didn’t like livestreaming anymore. She justified herself saying-
"I'm still ahead of my hours, so I don't; I tweeted on my alt actually, about it today. Because some people think that I don't like streaming. I do like streaming, it's just, I'm trying to do other things with my life now. You know?"

She also brought up how her close friend Pokimane‘s recent video discussing her hiatus from streaming really resonated with her. She remarked-
"It's just like, we've been in the industry for so long. We've been full-time streamers for like, over eight years, and when we first started streaming, like, I was streaming, I had a job, I had multiple jobs, and also streamed like, nine hours a day. Every single day, and it just kind of, you know?"
Valkyrae also added that as of right now, there isn’t anything new or exciting to her in the gaming space, and that she would probably “overstream” when she comes across any new game that she would be really excited to play.
Valkyrae felt that she was fortunate to be in a position where unlike many other streamers, she didn’t need to grind out her streams, instead focusing more on the quality and how she could plan out each of her streams.
