The upcoming Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 season is set to bring some significant changes, as recently announced by Riot Games. The VCT 2023 will kick off in February. This is set to be the largest international tournament in VCT history, which will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will feature exclusively partnered teams.

In March, the first international split of the season will begin, with teams from America, EMEA, and the Pacific competing in LAN tournaments in Berlin, Seoul, and Los Angeles. The best teams from these tournaments will have the opportunity to secure a spot at the VCT Masters event and potentially qualify for the Valorant Champions 2023.

For teams that do not qualify for the Champions, there will be a Last Chance Qualifiers event in July. The winning teams here will have the chance to participate in the VCT 2024 season. In addition to the regular season, the VCT 2023 will also include a Challengers Circuit, which will give smaller teams the opportunity to participate in the VCT 2024 season.

The first Challengers split will begin in January, with the second starting in March and concluding with the Ascension tournaments in July 2023.

The VCT 2023 will feature three regional leagues, which will be exclusive to partnered teams. These leagues will offer teams the chance to compete in LAN tournaments and potentially qualify for the VCT Masters and Valorant Champions 2023 events. The regional leagues will be held in Berlin, Seoul, and Los Angeles and will start in March, with the best teams from each region moving on to the VCT Masters event.

The Last Chance Qualifiers event in July will give teams that did not qualify for the Valorant Champions 2023 event a final chance to participate in the VCT 2024 season. The winning teams from each Last Chance Qualifiers event will move on to the Champions 2023 event.

The Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) for Valorant Champions Tour 2023 will take place in July. This will provide an opportunity for teams that have not yet qualified for the Champions tournament to compete for a spot. The LCQ winners from each region will earn a place in the Champions 2023.

The Challengers Circuit, on the other hand, is a separate competition running parallel to the VCT 2023. Smaller teams will have a chance to participate in the VCT 2024 season. The Challengers Circuit is divided into two splits, with the first beginning in January and the second in March. The Circuit will culminate in the Ascension tournaments in July 2023.

Overall, Valorant has tried to make the tournament more inclusive, allowing more teams into its folds for subsequent tournaments.
