After a few hours of new agent tease on Valorant’s official Twitter account, Mike aka ValorLeaks tweeted the name and the class of the upcoming agent. He revealed that the agent will be called Gekko.
Gekko is an Initiator class agent. He will join KAY/O, Sova, Breach, Skye, and Fade as the 6th initiator in the game. It will make the Initiator class one of the most stacked classes after Duelists. It will be interesting to see if Gekko manages to become relevant as Sova, Fade and KAY/O are already ruling this class.
Valorant also revealed that Gekko will be showcased in the match between Tarik and FRTTT’s team in the final. Both teams will feature Valorant’s well-known content creator and pro players. Both captains will play Gekko in their respective teams.
As of now, only one member for each team has been revealed. The Global Esports’ SKRossi will play for Team FRTTT. On the other, VCT Game Changers winning team member G2 Mimi will join Team Tarik.
DRX, Fnatic, Loud, and NAVI have qualified for the playoff. All of these teams have dominated the tournament and have a star-studded roster. In addition to the Gekko’s reveal, VCT LOCK//IN final has become must watch with any 2 of these best competing against each other. So make sure to tune in to Valorants’s official Twitch or YouTube channel or any official watch party this Saturday.
