VCT 2022 Champions LOUD were given a close fight by runners-up OpTic

The final showdown at VCT 2022 Champions began with the first map of the match, Ascent. The game was tense and full of many unconventional plays, the highlights being Sacy’s Odin wall bangs and yay flanking the enemies by surprise frequently. The first half went to OpTic, ending 7-5 in the NA squad‘s favour, but LOUD turned the tide in the second half, forcing overtime and winning the map 15-13.
On the second map Bind, OpTic showed brutal dominance, getting a lead of 10-2 by the end of the first half of the game. Despite LOUD’s best attempts to traverse the gap in the scoreboard, the NA squad evened the series, finishing the game with a crushing score of 13-6.
Back to their own pick, Breeze once again became LOUD’s playground, winning the map with a 2-round lead over OpTic, the scoreboard reading 16-14.
