NRG sign ex-OpTic Valorant duelist ahead of VCT 2023
Victor Wong
NRG has been plundering other teams in order to complete its Valorant roster, and they have gotten their hands on yet another OpTic member for this season. Victor Wong joins NRG from OpTic Gaming for VCT 2023, and will serve as the Duelist Main in the squad this time. With FNS already roped in, this duo will wreak havoc on the opposition through their combination plays and the communication that both of them have.
In OpTic, Wong was always under the shadow of Yay or El Diablo, and this will be his opportunity to come into his own, especially given that he will probably play the solitary duelist in the team. The Valorant Challengers Tournament is scheduled to begin next year in February, and teams are gearing up once again to take each other on. With the deadline extended, NRG is taking full advantage of their expansive roster to pull world-class talent into its team.

Wong is best known for playing the duelist main, picking up Raze, and wreaking havoc in the opponent team composition. He can also pick up initiators in case the team chooses to run a double initiator composition and deal equal damage to the enemies, making him one of the most formidable initiators to come across in tournaments in general. It will be interesting to find out what kind of combination plays he can pick out with the IGL FNS during the tournament.

Natus Vincere announce Valorant roster ahead of VCT 2023
Natus Vincere, better known as NAVI has announced its Valorant roster for the upcoming VCT 2023. Having secured a maiden spot in the partnership program, NAVI has been trying to go ahead with raw and relatively unknown talents to get a perfect blend in their team. With the departure of Ardis “Ardiis” Svarenieks, who has declared himself as a free agent, the popular outfit has announced its roster, set to feature Zyppan and Shao.
However the most deadly in the team would definitely be cNed. cNed is known for his headhunter ability with Chamber, and by making this switch from FPX, he will have a bone to pick with all those that felt he didn’t belong to the competitive arena.
After the announcement of the complete roster, the team consists of:
- Kyrylo “ANGE1” Karasov
- Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky
- Pontus “Zyppan” Eek
- Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin
- Mehmet “cNed” Yağız İpek
FPX former coach Erik “d00mbr0s” Sandgren is also speculated to join this roster, making them one of the prominent teams on paper, boasting of a fine blend between youth and experience. The team appears to be built around cNed, so he will be under pressure to deliver this year. It will be interesting to find out how the team turns out in VCT this year.
