Chamber will see powerful nerfs in Valorant Patch 5.12 Note
Valorant Chamber nerfs
Valorant is bringing another character nerf and this time it is again Chamber. This will be Chamber’s second nerf in two months. The nerf includes decreasing the distance that Chamber can teleport to and also removing the cooldown on the teleport anchor after it gets destroyed.
Chamber mains have been dominating the competitive games using his awesome abilities to escape from tight spaces in an instant. Now, Chamber mains will not be able to pre-aim in all the angles of the map.
Valorant took to Twitter to announce that they are going to nerf Chamber in the next Patch note. Here is what they had to say:
"Chamber's remained a dominant pick and we need to strike the right balance between preserving his identity and maintaining VALORANT’s game health. So we're making changes to most of his abilities in Patch 5.12."
Chamber is the most favorite character in the game and when players start getting a hang of his abilities there is no stopping them. However, the character was so overpowered that Riot had to nerf his abilities to keep the game fair.

Chamber is getting nerfed in Valorant patch 5.12 notes
Chamber had been an unstoppable force for quite some time. He’s seen dominating the Upper tier Competitive matches. Riot has decided to nerf him again and according to a report, “The team discussed and tested a number of ways to balance Chamber” which means that this patch note will bring out a totally new Chamber.
Here are all the changes that Chamber underwent in this patch note:
Headhunter (Q)
- Updated Stability Curve
- Spread increased after 2nd bullet, when spamming. This is explicitly meant to reduce low-precision body-shot spam as an effective combat measure.
Rendezvous (E)
- Chamber now places a single anchor that can be teleported to while inside its range
- Radius increased 15m >>> 26m
- Removed teleport activation height restriction
- You can teleport to the Anchor while on different verticals so long as you are within its radius.
- Increased weapon equip time after teleporting 0.4s >>> 0.7s
- Headhunter is unaffected by this change
- Destroying Rendezvous teleport anchor now disables it for the remainder of the round, instead of being placed on a cooldown.
- Chamber no longer incurs an additional cooldown when recalling his Anchor after teleporting.

Trademark (C)
- The trap is now range restricted
- Trademark will disable when Chamber moves out of range, and reactivate once he is inside.
- Can now be recalled mid-round
- Does not require line of sight
- 30s cooldown on recall
- Destruction remains permanent
- Initial Arm Time increased 2s >> 4s
- Health Increased 1 >> 20
Tour De Force (X)
- The fire rate decreased by 57.5%
Slow
- This applies to both Trademark and Tour De Force
- Reduced duration 6s >> 4s
The main aim of this change in abilities was:
- Strike an appreciable balance between his first angle power and counterplay avenues
- Drive more deliberate thought into the setup
Riot also said: “Our hope is that players can still engage in the combat-focused gameplay loop that attracted so many of you to Chamber while providing more opportunities for opponents to engage in counterplay. We’re committed to ensuring each Agent offers healthy strengths and weaknesses, both within their role and the larger tactical cycle.”
Will Chamber still be a must-pick agent that the players will run to interlock even after these changes? Feel free to drop in your comments.
