Valorant Bans IShowSpeed after sexist video surfaces online 

Valorant Bans IShowSpeed: Video games of any genre and even Valorant have always faced a gender bias gameplay and turned more towards bringing a platform without sexism. However, there still exists specks of the same problem among many people, even streamers and YouTubers who are quite famous.

Recently, a popular YouTuber named IShowSpeed has been banned on the same topic after one of his former videos came to light. The article talks all about the incident after Valorant Bans IShowSpeed after one of his sexist videos surfaced online.

Valorant Bans IShowSpeed

Valorant has a wide range of users from various parts of the community and like most other games, is also a platform where toxic gamers thrive, sexism, harassment, and bullying are nothing new for most of the players online. Solo queueing has become a nightmare, especially for women, without going through toxicity.

However, sexism always took a place higher than any other form of online harassment, where even popular social media stars are seen to be accused of the same.

IShowSpeed is a well-known American YouTube channel, and its owner is Darren Watkins. He is well-known for live-streaming games on his YouTube channel, which has over 6 million subscribers, and where he primarily makes videos of himself playing various games as well as sharing personal data.

Darren Watkins Jr. better known as IShowSpeed or Speed is a 19-year-old Youtube streamer. He is famous for his gaming live streams and in-game content.

In the clip that ultimately went viral, IShowSpeed yelled at another male player and then a female player, berating them for playing the game and not doing their husband’s dishes. 

Riot’s game producer Sara Dadafshar tweeted that she had permabanned Speed, after saying, “This is a huge yikes and we do NOT want players like this in our community at all. I went ahead and permabanned this player from VALORANT, as well as all other Riot Games.“
