The Game Awards 2023 concluded recently with an incredibly successful event crowning Baldur’s Gate 3 as Game of the Year. The event is also a night full of premiere video game announcements and new game trailers. One such trailer recently unveiled at the ceremony was the trailer for Asgards Wrath 2, an upcoming VR video game.

Asgards Wrath 2 comes out on December 15, 2023. The game will be available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro. The series began with an action role-playing game first released in 2019. The first title required you to fulfill certain quests given by the God of Mischief, Loki. The game concludes with Loki betraying the player.

The trailer also gives players a look at some interesting points of interest they visit in the game, such as Ancient Egypt. The Game Awards trailer also gives us a hint that the game will comprise several puzzles that players will have to complete to progress.

Early testers of the game have said that the game is very immersive and the controls work very well for a VR game.

Virtual reality games still carry a stigma around them for having poor and unresponsive controls. Lower-end VR systems do not track movements accurately and/or cause lag.

This even leads to motion sickness in some people. Asgards Wrath 2 looks to change this stigma by being a solid AAA VR game, providing players with a smooth experience.
