The concept of streaming has made quite a buzz in the entertainment industry in the past decades. The world has seen a shift in production from organized content produced by a set to streaming, where creators now can stream without any edits and produce raw content for endless hours whilst interacting with audiences on platforms like Kick, Twitch, and YouTube.

A more interesting form of streaming is IRL streaming, where, as opposed to streaming from home, you take the camera outdoors and record as you go. It has found a wave of eyes on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. On the contrary, controversies are much wilder during IRL streams, and that’s exactly what happened earlier this weekend.

Many controversies have been witnessed through IRL streaming. To name a few, there are swatting, sexually exploitative acts, and even abuse ending up in theft. This time around, it has ended in loss of blood and the incident has been picking up attention from the globe.

The Kick streamer of the talk goes by ‘Girit”. He was in Thailand, Bangkok, when an unexpected and undeserving incident occurred to him. Girit was peacefully walking around a beach when he was confronted by two locals. He got into a heated argument with them.

Things took a turn when Girit responded, “F*** you,” as he walked away. Just then, the locals from behind sucker punched Girik as the situation reached boiling point. The locals did not like Girit coming up to them in a face-to-face confrontation and displayed their reaction with a physical grip.

This later took a bad turn for the locals as police arrived at the scene and took both Girit and the locals to the station. Luckily, Girit was in the clear, as he held himself back with the help of by-passers to not react to the assault. Fans on Twitter and Reddit reacted as many were focusing on the law set of the country he was in rather than the kick streamer himself.

The unfortunate incident isn’t the first of its magnitude to happen. It definitely won’t be the last either, as the raw content is as real as it gets. Time and time again, it has showcased the unbelievable reality of the cruelty that certain people have to face.
