MrBeast, the number one individual YouTube content creator with over 235 million subscribers, recently took to Twitter to announce a concerning health condition that the YouTuber had been facing.

MrBeast said that although it may sound crazy, he thought that far-away objects looking highly blurry were standard for everybody.

Recently, the YouTuber got his eyes checked. He was diagnosed with a severe case of astigmatism. This led to him wearing contacts, resulting in a drastic improvement. In his words, MrBeast proclaimed that his eyesight felt three times as good as before. He is no longer required to squint and can open his eyes normally. 

For those unaware, Astigmatism is a common eye condition among humans that leads to blurry vision and headaches.

It is caused by an irregular curvature of the cornea or lens. Unlike a perfectly shaped cornea, which helps to focus light accurately on the retina, an astigmatic cornea or lens distorts light rays, preventing them from meeting at a single focus point.

This disorder can lead to blurry or distorted vision at any distance. It occurs with other refractive errors, such as myopia (nearsightedness) or hyperopia (farsightedness).

MrBeast is facing a similar issue that has induced severe nearsightedness in his eyes. Thus, wearing contacts has allowed the content creator to restore his natural vision.

MrBeast replied to his tweet with a link to a video uploaded nearly a year ago, in January 2023. MrBeast is known for his generosity, and in the video, He helps over a thousand people who have been blind since birth. He pays for all of their surgeries and allows them to see the world for the first time.
