The evil killer doll Chucky is coming to Dead By Daylight: Voice Actor, abilities & more

Dead by Daylight released an enigmatic teaser on the game’s official X account earlier on November 7. Fans are unsure about the exact meaning behind it. An image of a wall-mounted knife rack with the Trickster’s, Clown, and Legion knives was displayed in the tweet. And the devs have revealed the teaser to be the addition of a new killer to the game. It’s the fan-favorite killer doll, Chucky!

Moreover, the voice cast for the upcoming killer is wild. The devs behind Dead By Daylight have confirmed that Brad Dourif, the voice actor for Chucky, will be in the game. Furthermore, players can customize Chucky’s look by wearing the Good Gal attire, which transforms him into Tiffany Valentine, Chucky’s bride, voiced by Jennifer Tilly.

The devs have named Chucky as “The Good Guy” in the game and have given the killer some really powerful perks. Moreover, Chucky’s abilities are really great too:

  • Killer Power: The Good Guy has two distinct modes that he may alternate between: The Hidey-Ho Mode and Normal Mode. Chucky’s fixed third-person camera is positioned above and behind him to provide the player with a better perspective of his surroundings, despite his little size. In addition, he is considerably shorter than other Killers, which makes him extremely covert. Nevertheless, the killer leaves behind fading footsteps.
  • Special Ability “Hidey-Ho Mode”: To use Hidey-Ho Mode, press and hold the Active Ability button for 14 seconds. The Killer has no Terror Radius when in this mode, and “distraction” sounds and footprints appear all over the map. This makes Chucky a really capable killer in Dead By Daylight!
  • Special Attack “Slice & Dice”: To charge a Slice & Dice Attack while in Hidey-Ho Mode, press and hold the Special Attack button. When charged, charge forward quickly, releasing the Special Attack button to launch an attack at the finish.
  • Special Ability 2 “Scamper”: In Hidey-Ho Mode, you can swiftly and without breaking through a vault or pallet by pressing the Interaction button while you’re close to one.

Perks:

  • Hex “Two Can Play”: If there isn’t a Hex Totem linked to this Perk, a Dull Totem turns into a Hex Totem if you are stunned or blinded by a Survivor 4/3/2 times. Survivors who stun or blind you will be blind for 1.5 seconds while the Hex Totem is in place.
  • Friends ‘Til the End: The Obsession is revealed for 20 seconds and their aura is visible for 6/8/10 seconds when you hook a Survivor who isn’t the Obsession. Another random Survivor shouts, discloses their position, and turns into the Obsession when you hook them.
  • Batteries Included: You have 5% Haste while you are within 12 meters of a finished generator. When you leave the range, the movement speed increase lasts for 1/3/5 of a second.

Release Date:

This update is coming as a part of Chapter 20 and Patch 7.4.0 and is going to roll out on 28 November! Fans are really excited to play as Chucky and scare the living hell out of survivors. This update is coming at the right time, when the Halloween spirits have yet to fade away!

One of the many things that the game capitalizes on is the intense attention on introducing killers that offer fans a thrill.
