Recently, a Twitter user, Tafokints posted about a conversation with an N64 organizer, Cody Daniels. In this tweet, Tafo said, Cody revealed about this Make-a-wish opportunity and how it was one of his most memorable experiences. Daniels went on to tell Cody about how through his Make-a-Wish opportunity, he met with Barack Obama. Furthermore, the meeting wasn’t a plain and simple one, as he even played Super Smash 64 with the former US President.

Daniels also said that the former president was a “surprisingly decent” player. He also mentioned how Barack Obama was “much better than the average casual player.” Daniels “took it easy” on Obama by playing Ness rather than his primary characters, Pikachu and Fox. Daniels stated that Obama’s Smash main was Captain Falcon, which surprised fans. Fans have reacted in awe to this reveal, and some reactions have been hilarious:

Obama’s selection of Captain Falcon was all but anticipated. The character, which was modeled after American superheroes, was originally featured in the racing video game series F-Zero. So the former President of the US, Barack Obama, chose a character with redeeming American Superhero characteristics.

Furthermore, there’s a piece of good news for gamers and fans of the Super Smash franchise. The creator of this famous fighting game series, which has over 80 different characters in-game, based on famous games like Legend of Zelda & Pokemon, Masahiro Sakurai, has hinted at a new addition to the series. Following the creator’s retirement, fans may as well receive a last farewell gift soon!
