“I was furious for years,” xQc admits being mad at Pokimane and other fellow streamers for having FAT Twitch streaming deals

xQc is one of the most recognisable streamers on the planet. Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel started off as an Overwatch pro, and branched out his content from there. The Canadian streamer now plays a variety of video games on stream, even playing in the Chess.com Pogchamps tournament. xQc recently signed a deal with the new streaming platform Kick, and his fame has skyrocketed even more. His contract is said to be worth over $100 million.

However, since joining the platform, he seems to be landing himself in more and more controversy. He has already had a major disagreement with Nickmercs, who recently joined Kick. Now, xQc has also called out Pokimane and claims to be “furious” at her over Twitch payouts.

xQc was furious at Pokimane and other streaming payout

On a recent stream, xQc was doing a Minecraft speedrun. During the stream, he started talking about the difference between streamer payouts and contracts on Twitch. He specifically name-dropped Pokimane while doing so and believed that many other streamers on Twitch got lucrative checks and contracts for barely doing any work.

He said, “No deliverables, or barely anything. They had just kinda to sit around and do nothing, with no performance bonus… and just get a fat f*cking payout. Like, actually fat. …when Twitch was booming at the time, everybody got those deals where they would just sit around and do nothing and get massive minimums. And you saw, people stopped trying.“ Many started accusing him of being jealous of his fellow streamers. xQc, in turn, agreed to be furious at others for this reason.

He continued, “I’m gonna say it how it is. I got a ‘sweet deal,’ but I was mad forever. I was furious for years because all my peers at the time were getting massive — they were all on deals like, people like Pokimane and sh*t, were all on f*ckin’ bricked up contracts with all guarantees, and they had nothing to do.“

There are many who have come to xQc’s defence in this matter. They claim that xQc should have been paid just as much, if not more, as other streamers on the internet. He was more popular than many of them at the time and drew massive numbers. However, the general consensus of the internet community seems to be that he is jealous of her. After all, this is not the first time he has had beef with Pokimane. They have had differences regarding gambling in the past. The internet believes he is still being salty about the payouts, which is why he eventually switched to Kick.
