Streaming at the highest stages is a dream for many. With hard work and perspicacity, the target is proven to be achievable. It has also become a relevant source of financial stability, career-wise. But along with the relevancy and money, it also has a dark side to it. Kick and Twitch streamer xQc recently revealed a very scary part of it. The trend of swatting streamers has been striking lately in the past decade.

Fans as trolls, intentionally or not, call the police and file such a high-profile complaint as a bomb threat, where FBI and SWAT teams barge through the addresses of these streamers. This is done, especially during their livestreams, to get a reaction at their vulnerable times. Despite being illegal, very little is done to prevent it and can be quite brutal. Adin Ross and IShowSpeed are names familiar with these horrific schemes.

xQc hits at fans for sending ‘weird notes’ to his home, claiming they are illegal

xQc on his recent livestream

This wouldn’t be the first time xQc has been pranked or trolled by fans at his residence. He’s had numerous issues wherein fans would track his address and enter it. Times like these would prompt him to be on the move regularly, as break-ins were quite regular.

Thinking swatting was scary is an understatement after what xQc revealed on his recent live stream. The Kick streamer took to his stream to share the dark side of his fame. Although he hid it for a long time, he revealed on the 31st of July how, at times in his previous home, he would feel safe after certain streams. The good mood, however, would be crushed as soon as he stepped outside to pick up his food delivery, only to find weird notes stuck on certain drinks he’d ordered.

Apart from that, he even revealed these notes would be sent INSIDE packages from furniture companies. This wasn’t a one-time thing, either. He’s had it done multiple times through multiple furniture companies. xQc claimed that not only was it illegal, but it was really weird for fans to attempt such dark pranks. As if that were enough, the Kick streamer eventually got fed up and said

“It’s i*sane how many times I’ve got to say this s*it before it actually clicks in. It’s actually f*cking i*sane. That s*it is f*cking my brain over man. Even at the other house, it was all fine, and I was getting sent food and s*it with really weird notes on them. I would end the stream and I would feel safe and I would go outside, pick up, and there’s drinks and s*it with really weird notes on them. That’s f*cking weird man.”

The fact of the matter is how remarkably sad it is; as xQc himself claimed, it made him feel unsafe. It is also hard to file a complaint against such people, as it is a waste of time and money. To get back at some random guy in a ‘small corporate company’ wasn’t worth the ‘peace of mind’. His strong message had hit fans, as he received a wavering amount of support from them.
