xQc shuts down accusations of him being racist during the $100K Rust Team battle

April 14, 2022, saw the biggest ever Rust event begin with the likes of xQc, SHROUD, and TenZ participating. The event was supposed to take place over a span of three days.

The aim of the game was pretty simple, you collect loot, gather kills of your opponents, and then have an all-out raid towards the base of the opposite team at the end of the event.

Early close because of xQc?

The Twitch Rivals event which as stated earlier, was supposed to span out for a time of 3 days, was cut short to only two days after both teams started to garner feelings of hostility towards each other.

Some of the Spanish streamers even threatened to walk out of the event after feeling a “lack of respect” from the opposite team which prompted the Canadian streamer to speak up on the matter and boy did he speak.

On top of that, he was also called racist by his Spanish opponents which he wasn’t going to take any of.

xQc racist?

In the last few moments of the event, the NA team was trying to farm materials using the casino wheel in Rust trying to increase their already huge lead

While they were doing so, a heated argument continued to take place over in-game chat in Rust which was visible to the viewers when xQc typed, “Oh, I said you’re s**t at Rust, get a job? Still mad about that?” to which streamer dilanzito quickly said, “xQc, you are the most racist guy.”

This prompted a wave of confusion over the North American Team as they wondered why an allegation like this would be made in an event like this.

xQc’s Response

“LMFAO, who the f**k types that in your employers’ tournament chat,” were the first words that xQc typed in the in-game chat after staying silent for a few seconds.

He then explained “This guy is losing his f**king mind. His marbles are falling out of his pocket man. Dude, what the f**k?”

xQc didn’t speak much about it after that and continued to help his team gather materials for the raid that did NOT live up to its promise.

xQc saved by Shroud in Twitch Rivals

Responding to the drama that ensued, Twitch Rivals has stated that they will be re-evaluating quite a few things before trying to setup something similar in the future.
