With Overwatch 2‘s latest character coming into play in Season 4, here’s everything we know about the origins of the newly released character – Lifeweaver. From his ethnicity, to his purpose in life and how he got to it.

With the release of the trailer from the people over at Blizzard, a lot of light has been shed on Lifeweaver’s past and his life story has been revealed to the players looking to main the newly released support hero.

The trailer starts off by giving a background on Lifeweaver’s past. The kind of world he lived in which seemed to be a technologically advanced civilization that did not care for nature and did anything and everything to make technological advancements in their world.

The trailer features Lifeweaver telling the viewers about his home and how they valued uniformity a lot. To the point that they felt that there was only a set formula for success and they had somehow mastered it.

His civilization continued to do everything it took for them to advance further and kept destroying their natural resources. Throughout this entire segment, Lifeweaver tells us how he decided to break the traditions and go off of the set formula.

Lifeweaver’s origin story is built around the concept that there is no set formula for success. The Thai support character’s design initially shows him playing with a bipyramidal structure that later turns into a lotus-like structure when he claims that he has figured out a compromise between technology and nature.

According to Blizzard, Lifeweaver hails from Thailand and is described as being witty and kind. He is also known to be very loving and for using his groundbreaking biolight technology towards the welfare of his team in healing them and using it to create an advantage for his teammates.

Lifeweaver’s design is also based heavily around lotuses which is evident from him holding a structure that looks like a closed lotus at all times but blooms when he uses his abilities to support his teammates while they continue to fight for the objective in the game.
