Overwatch 2 on PS4 vs PS5: Which console provides better graphics?
Find out which of the PlayStation console offers better graphics for Overwatch 2.
Overwatch2 Test
Blizzard Entertainment’s first-person shooter Overwatch 2 has a huge density of console players playing the game. Most of them are part of the PlayStation community. Overwatch 2 was released for PlayStation in early access on October 4th 2022. The game is free to play and can be directly downloaded from the PlayStation store with out needing the player to purchase PlayStation Plus.
The release of the next generation of consoles, i.e., the PS5 saw a huge number of PlayStation lovers shift to the PS5. The PS5 supports 8K gaming with a 60 Hz refresh rate or 4K gaming with 120 Hz, which is a great upgrade from its forerunner, the PS4, which supported up to a 60 Hz refresh rate with 1080p gaming. Some newer models of the PS4 Pro did support 4K, but only at a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz. Both the consoles, the PS5 and the PS4’s GPUs, are based on AMD Radeon chips, with the PS5 GPU having more computer units and higher TFLOPs (teraflops).
A teraflop rating measures the GPU’s performance and it refers to a processor’s capability to measure one trillion floating-point operations per second. Ps5’s GPU has 10.3 TFLOPs which means it can process 10.3 trillion floating-points operations per second. In layman terms the GPU of the PS5 is almost 8 times more powerful than its predecessor’s GPU which means the PS5 offers more frames per second (FPS). From this itself, we can conclude that the PS5 offers better graphics and gameplay experience to players not only in Overwatch 2 but other games as well.
