“I was fu**ing stupid”, Asmongold apologizes after Andrew Tate- Martin Luther King Jr. comparison lands him in hot waters
Asmongold and Andrew Tate
Twitch streamer Zack ‘Asmongold’ had to face the wrath of social media as well as his community members after he compared the Andrew Tate situation to former American minister and activist, Martin Luther King Jr. Following a widespread backlash, the OTK founder admitted that those things were stupid to say.
Taking to his livestream, Zack stated that he understands that people are disliking his comment where he stated that the government might be framing the kickboxer, as they did with Martin Luther King Jr. “A lot of people were not happy”, he began by explaining what led to this controversial situation.
“Both of these things were stupid to say and they are not true”, Asmongold admitted after observing that a lot of people considered the comparison to be nothing else but plain stupidity. He went on to say that he dislikes to accept that he’s wrong as he’d go to any extent to prove the exact opposite.
However, this time around, he has been able to realize that he is the wrong here. “I was fu**ing stupid, I shouldn’t have said it”, the World of Warcraft streamer gave out an apology to his community members.

Why did Asmongold compare Andrew Tate with Martin Luther King Jr.?
On December 29, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in their Romanian residence following a raid at his house by the concerned authorities. The controversial internet personalities were detained along with two other country civilians on the charge of being involved with a criminal group and engaging in human trafficking.
The arrest sent the whole social media into a frenzy as several streamers were quick to react on the situation. While most of them called this as a much needed move, Asmongold claimed that there is a 50% chance that the government is framing him “Government frames people all time”, saying this he compared the situation with how authorities fu**ed with Martin Luther King Jr.
The streamer, however, made it clear that he is not taking sides with Andrew Tate, rather, he is implying that the arrest can be a corruption sh*t as people don’t like the kickboxer. Continuing further, he stated, “You can’t say he’s guilty until you know what the charges are”, hinting that he is highly skeptical of the whole arrest thing.

Redditors react to Asmongold’s apology
The clip was shared at the r/livestreamfails subreddit where users claimed that the streamer’s take was psychotic and it was good to see that he has finally taken it back. However, others were critical of the streamer’s ego when he stated that he hates to admit he is wrong.
The Tate brothers have been released from police detention, a day after their arrest as the Top G took to Twitter to give out his first words after being released. The whole arrest drama came right after the kickboxer was having a feud with climate activist, Greta Thunberg.
