Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has come forward with the response to the accusations made by a Twitter user named Jovi Pena, he took to his stream to address this issue as he was facing tremendous backlash from the community, for not providing his assistance to the women who got assaulted at his New Year party.
Cenat began by mentioning that he understands people are furious on him for not responding early, claiming that the backlash is justified. However, he later explained that he went to seek the police’s cooperation on this case so that the matter can be handled in a legal way. “As soon as this was brought to my attention, I didn’t go nowhere else but the police. I went to my legal team and I went to the police“, he stated while declaring that he is not taking the matter lightly.
“I’m not playing, I’m not beating around”, the 21-year-old asserted that he has already started making the moves so that Jovi Pena gets the justice she deserves. Continuing further, he explained that he and his ‘team’ has already reached out to her in case she needs any further assistance.
On addressing the question about whether or not he was aware about the incident, Kai Cenat declared that he had no knowledge of this when the party was ongoing. However, when he got to know this later, he told Jovi Pena that he will certainly help her out. The streamer also stated that he initially planned to address the issue when the investigation was over, but he felt the need to provide his response early.

Providing a huge blow to his fans, the Streamer of the Year award winner claimed that he might put streaming plans on hold this week until the investigations are over and the result is something fruitful. Cenat added that he understands he has been getting hatred for something where he wasn’t the culprit, but he is ready to take all the blame upon himself.
He stated-
"I'm taking all the heat. I'll take it. I'll take all the heat right now cause, you know, she got to the internet first and that's fine"
Explaining further, he wanted it to clear that nothing is amiss with Jovi Pena, even though she decided to reveal the incident first at social media. Kai Cenat urged his fans that they should not harass her, until the investigations results were out. This comes after Jovi Pena shared on Twitter about the threats she has been receiving from Cenat’s and the accused’s fans.
Fans react to Kai Cenat’s response
Kai’s community took to Twitter to express how the streamer was receiving more hatred than the actual culprit. One of the users also wrote that the streamer did the right thing after taking the matter to the police.
However, some of the comments were negative as users highlighted how Cenat went from that he doesn’t know the person who was behind the assault, to claiming that he was high school friends with him, which looks suspicious.
This is a developing story.
