Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys had some hilarious moments on her November 26th livestream where she had decided to just have a normal Just Chatting session with her viewers. She shared incidents from her past and also gave updates on how she has been doing currently, while simultaneously reacting on the trending stuff on social media.

At one point during the Twitch livestream, she decided to showcase her Spotify playlist to her audience and play some songs. Pokimane being the Spotify partner already has an exclusive playlist which her fans can access on the platform. As she started reading the song names, her Apple Watch’s voice assistant was turned on believing that the streamer might have given a command.

As soon as her watch turned on, Pokimane panicked and tried to turn it off, fearing that her personal address might be leaked in front of thousands of viewers on her livestream. “Shut the fu*k up!”. She immediately turned off the VA, “That scared me so much, that was my Apple Watch, like who the fu*k asked you?”.

She later explained that stuff like this frightens her since there are people who can trick Alexa, amazon’s voice assistant into leaking private information such as address or contact information, “That freaks me out”, Pokimane stated.

Pokimane once had a stalker who found out her address

It is rightly said that widespread popularity often comes at a price. Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys has been one of the most followed female Twitch streamers in the world, who has been dominating viewership stats even though there have been temporary streaming hiatus on her career.

Having more than 9 million followers on her Twitch channel, she has often faced harassment online as well as in real-life. Once when she appeared in the podcast of Anthony Padilla, she recounted a horrific story of a stalker who flew down to California, to meet her.

Pokimane was alerted by her roommate as the stalker had approached her saying, “Oh, I know you. You need to take me to Poki. We’re meant to be. I came down here for her.” While the streamer was certainly frightened on the extent the stalker went, she was ready to expose him as she decided to livestream the incident if the stalker is able to reach her in the worst possible scenario.

Fortunately, the situation was averted as her stalker did not try to take any further steps but this incident had left Pokimane worried. Now that she lives alone, she tries to be extra cautious regarding what to say during her livestream and avoid of slip-up of leaking her personal information.
