Turtle Troop Valorant player Governer claims xQc “Ghosted” his team even after agreeing term sheets
Turtle Troop member Governor claimed xQc backed off from buying the team.
pro Valorant team Turtle Troop member Governor spoke about XQc backing out from the deal
In a recent stream TSM content creator Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik and professional Valorant team Turtle Troops member Peter “Governor” No, talked about the situation surrounding xQc’s signing to the team. Ex- Overwatch pro player Felix xQc apparently ghosted the team even after term sheets were made final.
The NA Challangers League for Valorant is due to begin in a fortnight and there’s no sign of a complete team. With xQc apparently poised to join the team, things somehow fell through. Split 1 of NA Challengers is currently going on and they have had a rough start. Turtle Troop faced off against FaZe clan, Moist Mogul, Team Oxygen and G2, only beating the later.

In the livestream, someone from the chat seemed to ask subroza to question Governor about the situation surrounding xQc and Turtle Troop. Governor then responds that xQc had made them wait for a month and just backing off without any proper explanation. Governor said, “We had term sheets signed and everything but then he like backed out last second and just ghosted us.”
Popular Valorant news breaker George Geddes is the one who first broke the news about the deal between xQc and Turtle Troop. He reported that the deal fell through in the last moment. xQc supposedly didn’t appear for the deal, so naturally it didn’t materialize. Turtle Troops, apart from Moist Mogul and DSG, would be the 3rd team to be owned by a streamer. Previously, Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang decided to enter the Valorant scene with his team alongside another popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren, who partnered with MoistCr1tikal to become the owner of Moist Mogul.
As previously mentioned, Turtle Troop didn’t really do well in Split 1 of the NA challangers. They ended in 5th spot, failing to make the Mid-season Face off tournament.
xQc responds to the backlash saying he should have communicated better about joining the team
Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel is no stranger to controversy. Over the years, he has made the headlines for both positive and negative news. Recently, he responded to the comments made by Governor on Subroza’s stream about him backing off without even clearing things up. xQc revealed that he had to attend to some personal matters.
xQc replied to Governor’s comments :
“There was a lot happening and I just kind of got blindsighted and I was embarrassed and, in the end, I understand that I definitely should have communicated more but there are things that I couldn’t say, wouldn’t make sense to explain.”
xQc went on to discuss about the payment of the team. Being an ex-pro player, he understood that it’s quite frustrating to be led on and decided to pay of one month salary, reportedly a sum of $25000.
“I felt so bad and I felt so embarrassed for some of the sh*t that I was dealing with that I agreed to paying them a month’s salary or half a month’s salary for the time spent waiting.”
According to xQc, he was excited to join Turtle Troop and making a super team that would conquer Valorant:
“I think it would’ve been sick to buy out extremely talented players that are smurfing and make a superteam, like a massive powerhouse, and have them win the whole thing.”
Fans of the streamer seem to side with him as some even labeled him as immature. Some even advised him to be clearer about any commitment. Overall, this isn’t the first time he has done something like this. Previously he backed out of chess invitation from Ludwig. He also didn’t show up for QTCindrella’s Sh*tcamp confessionals. Therefore, fans believe that this is just a character trait of the streamer.
