From becoming the most streamed game on Twitch to topping the charts in several countries, Hogwarts Legacy has become one of the biggest releases of 2023. Be it for Harry Potter fans or video game lovers who wish to embark on a new action-adventure journey, the game has catered to the needs of every player.
The game witnessed its global release on February 10, 2023. However, the early access provided to some selective streamers already helped others know what type of content and graphics Hogwarts Legacy was going to offer. Surely enough, Warner Bros. didn’t disappoint with their video game title either.
As of writing, the most anticipated game for 2023 is available for PC, PlayStation 5, XBox Series S|X. This has left Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 users in the dark as the game is yet to provide even its early release on these platforms.

Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch and PS4
Its availability on multiple platforms has left gamers smiling but those who use Nintendo Switch, they are left hanging with the game’s status on their platform. Fortunately, Avalanche Software has provided an accurate release date for the handheld console by Nintendo. As per the announcement, Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch will be available on July 25,2023.
On the other hand, PlayStation 4 users should also stop worrying as the action-adventure RPG is set to hit these platforms on April 4,2023. This will coincide with the release on XBox One. It should be noted that none of these platforms will be able to enjoy the early access of the game.
As for the game’s price, Nintendo Switch users are required to shell out $59.99 to purchase the game. This amount goes the same for PlayStation 4 as well as XBox One players.
Another crucial thing to remember for Switch players is that Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch does not support cloud-based gaming. This implies that players might face some technical troubles as the cloud based technology will be removing the hardware barriers.
Players wishing to learn wizardry and magic have already started customizing their wands after visiting Ollivander’s. They will also be required to complete the major questlines to move further into the Potterverse.
The popularity of Hogwarts Legacy comes even after the game was boycotted for J.K. Rowling’s remarks. While the controversy is still afresh, the game continues to surge in terms of popularity.
