The most awaited Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has finally been announced. At Sony’s State of Play event, a lot went down for PS4 and PS5 fans. Many future game releases were announced and all game updates had been spilt. Amongst this was the remake of Resident Evil 4, updates on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the release date for the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth release.
It is speculated to be one of the most anticipated upcoming PS5 games in 2024. The trailer gives a glimpse of what fans can expect. The second part of the trilogy since fans first saw gameplay, has exceeded its expectations. Fans witnessed many delights. Appearances from Cait Sith and locations of Cosmo Canyon and Gold Saucer were among these.
Since announcing that the Final Fantasy VII remake project will be a trilogy, Director Naoki Hamaguchi announced that can’t continue their journey on to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as each game’s balancing is done independently. Fans were upset to hear the news. The trailer also confirmed the return of Golden Saucer and all its minigames along with the return of Vincent. The extravagant return of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has fans wondering how closely it will follow the story of the original.

Release Date
The release date for the game has been announced to be February 29, 2023. PlayStation’s event had saved a spot for this celebratory announcement, which gave a preview of the brand-new game. The game although only announced in June 2022, began production in November 2019, prior to the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The Pricing for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The continuation of Square Enix’s retelling of the classic game, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is said to be much larger than the Final Fantasy VII Remake. As a result, the game will have a variety of new music and genres, according to Music Supervisor Keiji Kawamori. The standard edition of the game is set for $69.99. The “deluxe” version is priced at $99.99. Purchasing a physical copy is said to bring 2 discs.
Platforms the game will be featured on
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII will be released on PS5, and won’t be available on PS4 as they want to advance in their generation of consoles and gameplay. No confirmation has been given whether Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Rebirth will be available on Xbox, as these games are PlayStation exclusives. However after Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade has been announced to be available on PC, fans can expect a surprise availability on Xbox.
The Exclusive Collector’s Edition
What surprised fans the most is how the Collector’s Edition of the game is set to be a whopping $349.99, costing more than a Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series S! However, not only will the game come with a physical copy of the game, but also collectibles including bracelets, chokers, and collectible statues. Apart from that it will of course display the deluxe edition of the game from within.
