Fortnite has finally released the official trailer for Fracture, and at first sight, it appears to be immensely appealing. This means that this live event could very well feature some new weapons as well as push the lore forward. Fracture was initially teased at the FNCS Invitational Finals, with the live event set to take place exactly one year from when Donald Mustard revealed Midas’ fate shortly before Chapter 3’s beginning. Considering this is the end of Chapter 3, it’s rather likely that Midas will be showcased in the live event one final time.

Popular theorist FNChiefAko gives out the following theory: “In the event, we’ll find and recruit Midas to help defeat Chrome and Herald with his golden touch. After chroming the Reality Tree, The Herald will summon The Nothing from it, and the fight against The Last Reality begins. What happens next is to be determined.” Since this character can literally turn anything to gold, a return would mean an infinite number of things for the fans to try out, which might even include a new player skin.

The battle against Chrome and lore has been shown not only in the trailer but also within the game itself, where an emote shows Chrome taking over a golden hand. Fracture is scheduled for a release on December 4, and fans will be eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite anti-hero.

The trailer showcases the constant conflict between the Herald, and the Seven of the Resistance suddenly disappearing, making the lore interesting in its own run.
