European Artistic Gymnastics Championship 2024 to be hosted by Naples City in Italy

European Gymnastics has chosen Naples as the host city for the European Artistic Gymnastics Championship 2024. The event was given to the Italian city at an online meeting of the European Gymnastics Executive Committee, which was chaired by Farid Gayibov of Azerbaijan. The previous occasion when Italy hosted the European Championships was in 2009 when the men’s and women’s games were held in Milan and they are now keen to host another tournament.
According to European Gymnastics, the men’s competition will provisionally take place from April 24 to 28, with the women’s event following from May 1 to 5. However, the International Gymnastics Federation will need to approve the final dates.
The European Artistic Gymnastics Championship will take place before the 2024 Olympics, if the provisional dates are approved, since the Paris Games are planned to take place from July 26 to August 11.
In addition to approving Naples as the host city for the 2024 European Artistic Gymnastics Championship, European Gymnastics also designated Antalya as the host city for the 2023 European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships. The dates for the event are tentatively set for November 17 to November 19.
Also, the European Gymnastics Congress will be held in 2023, while the European Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics and TeamGym will be held in 2024.
