Williams announced the signing of Carlos Sainz as their driver for 2025 after the Belgian GP. The Spaniard was left with no seat after he was replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari. Williams being the only team with proper plans for the future, he decided to join them. On the other side Alex Albon ahead of the 2024 F1 season signed a long-term contract with Williams to stay with them until at least the end of 2026. The British born Thai driver claims to witness the fruits of his long journey with Williams.
Alex Albon in an interview stated that Williams hasn’t fully prepared for the 2026 season yet. However, by the arrival of Carlos Sainz they have made important changes and shifts in their approach.
