Esteban Ocon decided to part ways with Alpine from the 2025 season onwards. The Frenchman had committed some mistakes while racing which further fastened this process. However, according to multiple rumors, the 27-year-old was being considered for a mid-season switch to Williams Racing.
Esteban Ocon‘s exit from Alpine wasn’t exactly clear from either of the parties. Regardless, people believed the failing performances to be the major reason. Amidst the departure from Alpine, Ocon was reportedly considered for a mid-season replacement with Logan Sargeant at Williams due to the latter’s mediocre outings.

Ocon even visited Grove’s factory to get his seat fitting done for the Williams chassis. However, Alpine meddled in between and stopped the move from happening.
The major reason for this was the French team’s ongoing battle with Williams. Alpine is currently ahead of Grove-based constructor by just five points. Hence, Williams will have to look at other options to replace Sargeant effective immediately.
Esteban Ocon claims he ‘can’t say anything’ about his future in F1
Esteban Ocon will have to continue to look at the possible team options for the coming season. However, multiple teams have already signed their drivers with several of them wanting to retain the current lineup. Additionally, quite a few highly capable drivers are available alongside Ocon, further reducing his chances at a top team.

Regardless, Ocon is confident about his chances but noted that nothing could be said yet regarding his future as he was still ‘working over it.’
I still can't say anything about what my future will be. We are still working on it and you will be the first to know when something is over, but I hope it happens soon.Esteban Ocon said, as reported by automoto.it.
Ocon will have to continue to showcase the best possible results to be considered for a team. The French driver is currently in P18 and way behind the competition. As a result, Ocon has to pick the pace up and start scoring impressive results in the remainder of the 2024 season.
