Max Verstappen is currently on a rough spell, having failed to win any of the last six races this season. The coming months will now be crucial for the Dutchman in determining his future with the Milton Keynes-based team.

Helmut Marko backs Max Verstappen to perform better at Azerbaijan GP

Red Bull Technical Advisor Helmut Marko has shared his thoughts on behalf of his team ahead of an important weekend in Baku. The Milton-Keynes team was powerless during the Italian GP, finishing P6 and P8 behind McLaren and Ferrari.

In Baku, we were always competitive, but this time, it will be crucial how quickly we can get the desired balance back into the car. If we can do that to some extent, we should be in better shape for the Azerbaijan GP. And if Verstappen gets a car he can reasonably fight with, then his extra class will come to the fore.
Helmut Marko wrote in his column for SpeedWeek

Helmut Marko claims that Verstappen will hugely benefit if the team comes up with a competitive car at Baku this week. Marko outlined the need for his team to find the lost balance within the RB20 to salvage their chances.

McLaren has now moved to within eight points of the leader, Red Bull, in the 2024 constructors’ championship. The Papayas have emerged as the favorites to bag the title if the Milton-Keynes-based team fails to find good form in the upcoming races.
