Lewis Hamilton‘s dream F1 film, which was released last month, starring Brad Pitt, has been a grand success. The movie has raked in around $600 million in revenue and has become Pitt’s most successful movie in his acting career. Despite all the grandeur in the movie and the filming process, the American actor revealed the one factor that he despised the most, despite the entire filming process being extremely interesting for him.

The filming crew for the F1 film was given special permission to shoot during F1 races and race weekends during the ongoing season. Brad Pitt even revealed the hardest part of the filming process for the movie based on the pinnacle of motorsport. Despite all the struggles, Pitt particularly disliked getting the feel of racing on the simulator.

Brad Pitt emphasized that the racing simulators that the teams use to practice during a race weekend were very similar to video game simulators. However, Pitt wasn’t much of a gamer and was skeptical of spending time on the simulator to prepare for racing in the real car. The American candidly accepted that he did not particularly like this part.

Still, Brad Pitt accepted that he and the filming crew were spoiled during the filming process and were given total freedom in preparing for their role in the movie. As such, the 61-year-old revealed that he did not spend a lot of time on the sim and prepared for the role by himself, without the need to spend extended hours on the racing sim.

You know, the simulators are just like the video game simulators. I didn’t like them that much, but we got spoiled, though, you know what I mean. So I didn’t spend a lot of time in that.

Brad Pitt reveals ‘adventure’ of preparing for Las Vegas GP

Some of the race tracks did not really need extended hours on the sim to prepare for the main race. However, the Las Vegas GP is one of the many that definitely need some practice before jumping into action. As such, Brad Pitt recalled the time when he had to film for Lewis Hamilton’s F1 film at Las Vegas, with barely any practice.

Brad Pitt reminisced that the filming crew only had ten minutes to shoot the scenes at the Las Vegas GP ahead of the race start. Back then, he did not spend much time on the simulator; moreover, the chilly conditions in and around the circuit caused further problems. Pitt labeled the outing as an ‘adventure’ as the conditions were very cold and wet, even for a regular tourist like the 61-year-old.

We had to for Vegas because we weren’t going to get any practice time, and they were putting us out on the track, and we had a 10 minute window, and we’d never been. It’s late at night, and it’s cold, it’s wet, and this is coming from a tourist man! It’s an adventure.

The F1 film was a massive success, thanks to the countless efforts of Lewis Hamilton and the entire filming crew. The directors have already teased a potential sequel to the first film based on the pinnacle of motorsport. Moreover, Hamilton is not going to stop at just the F1 film, as he has some plans that he is going to execute in the near future.
