Ferrari has put forth a highly consistent performance throughout the 2024 season as the season finale inches closer. Red Bull and McLaren seemed to be the only ones contending for the constructors’ championship as the Italian constructor made a late appearance. Amidst Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc‘s improving performances, Maranello might just be able to swoop the constructors’ lead.
Carlos Sainz secured a highly impressive pole position at the Mexican GP after lodging a dominant lap. Ferrari also maximized points at the previous US GP weekend after scoring a one-two finish. Speaking upon the Pole, Sainz reckoned that he was extremely happy with the two great laps in the Q3 session. Moreover, the Spaniard was happy to score the pole at the tricky circuit of Mexico.
Very happy. Great couple of laps. I did two great laps in Q3 and they were enough for pole, which was great as normally in Mexico it is tricky.
Carlos Sainz said during the post-session interview
Ferrari might also score two consecutive race wins after a dominant show of performance at the Mexican GP qualifying. Carlos Sainz noted that if the team successfully wins the Mexican weekend, they could score massive points. These points would be of great help to the team’s running in the constructors’ championship. Hence, Sainz hoped for a great race pace to score the race win on Sunday.
If you win, those extra points are important for the team in the constructors’ – hopefully our race pace is good enough to win it.

Definitely we have done a step up, it seems like we are going in the right direction and looking forward to finishing the job tomorrow.
Carlos Sainz noted
The 2024 season has peaked in racing action and excitement as the competition builds up at the forefront.
