Ferrari’s performance at the Dutch GP turned out unexpectedly well. Although Saturday’s Qualifying sessions did not go well for both drivers, with Carlos Sainz qualifying P11 and Charles Leclerc sixth, Leclerc finished on the podium despite struggling with speed on Saturday. After a tough run at Zandvoort, the team plans to bring new upgrades for their home race in Monza. Sainz hopes to fight for victory.

Ferrari’s performance has lagged behind rivals Red Bull and McLaren. Carlos Sainz noted that Ferrari often falls short by about two or three-tenths of a second compared to these teams. Despite their best efforts, Ferrari struggles with pace and consistently ends up behind McLaren and Red Bull.

It's no secret that McLaren and Red Bull have often been quicker than us, we are always 2 or 3 tenths behind them.

Carlos Sainz mentioned that just because Ferrari has struggled at some tracks doesn’t mean things will be the same everywhere. Sainz believes Ferrari could compete for victory if they race on a favorable track with new upgrades. Even after facing difficulties in early races, the Spaniard hoped improvements and better track conditions could lead them to better performance and a chance to win.

However, this does not mean that going to a track more favorable to Ferrari can become less, and by putting some updates in the car that work perhaps we can see ourselves fighting for the victory.
Carlos Sainz added.

Carlos Sainz remains determined to perform better for the Tifosi

Carlos Sainz expressed how special it is to race in Monza for Ferrari. He mentioned that the atmosphere there is always unique and inspiring. Sainz highlighted that this special feeling motivated everyone involved with the team, not just the drivers but also the engineers and mechanics. The Spaniard expressed a strong desire to do well in the upcoming races because they wanted to make the fans proud.

It's incredible, this only happens in Milan and Monza for Ferrari , it's something very special and, as Charles says, it charges us up, it charges not only us, but all the engineers, the mechanics , we all want to do well this weekend for all these people who are here cheering for us.
Carlos Sainz stated.

Therefore, Racing in Monza is particularly special for Ferrari due to the enthusiastic support from the Tifosi. The fans’ energy and support drive the team to compete more strongly and strive for important points. This unique home advantage makes the Monza race a significant event for Ferrari, as they aim to deliver their best performance in front of their home supporters.
