Scuderia Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz heaped praise on McLaren after their strong performances since the Miami Grand Prix this season. The Woking-based team is currently third in the championship behind Ferrari but has been in much better form over the past four races.
Ferrari started the current season on a strong note, having won two out of the first seven races with nine podiums. However, the outfit has fallen off since their historic win in Monaco and has managed to score just a single podium in over three races.
Carlos Sainz has therefore opened up about Ferrari’s struggles with the SF-24 while speaking highly of McLaren’s recent upsurge in form, which has put the English team in a higher league than others. McLaren has amassed a whopping 114 points in the previous four races and has managed to close the gap to Ferrari to a mere 23 points.

Charles Leclerc hails productive FP1 and FP2 despite unsatisfactory results for Ferrari
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc has backed the team’s resilience and efforts during Friday’s practice runs at Silverstone. Leclerc charted times only good enough for P8 and P5 in FP1 and FP2 for Ferrari.
Obviously, there’s a lot of data to look at, and everybody is flat-out trying to make the best decision for tomorrow. But it’s been a very productive day—not particularly fast, unfortunately, but a very productive one.Charles Leclerc said via Formula1
Ferrari brought on a set of upgrades to the British Grand Prix in hopes of notching up better lap times to battle the likes of Red Bull and McLaren. However, after the end of two practice sessions, the Maranello-based outfit still appears to be a few tenths off the pace compared to rivals, who took the spots on Friday.
Charles Leclerc has therefore presented a realistic target for Ferrari, which involves understanding the working of the car around specific sectors of the track. Next up awaits the final practice session for the Maranello-based team, which will be followed by the qualifying session for the race on Sunday.
