Carlos Sainz praises Mattia Binotto post-Audi leadership takeover
Former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto was announced as the COO and CTO of the Audi F1 project earlier this week. Following the Italian’s return to the paddock, Carlos Sainz has spoken in favor of his capabilities from the past.

Mattia Binotto has been associated with Ferrari since 1995 and was appointed team principal in 2019. However, Binotto was sacked ahead of the 2023 season after a string of strategic blunders within the team the previous year.
Binotto will now seek to do well for the German giants, who completed the takeover of Sauber earlier this year. The knowledge of the 54-year-old will benefit Audi immensely in achieving its targets at the pinnacle of motor racing.
