Carlos Sainz reveals Ferrari’s ‘small step’ behind amassing two victories in last three races
Carlos Sainz has claimed that a change in downforce generation has made a big difference in Ferrari's fortunes.

Ferrari have been in fine form since the summer break in late August. Having amassed three wins and six podiums, they currently stand second in the constructors’ championship. Carlos Sainz has shed light on the tweaks that defined a surge in the team’s performances.
Carlos Sainz has been a winner twice this campaign, showing his perseverance and tirelessness for the Maranello-based team. He departs for Williams Racing in 2025 having spent four admirable seasons with the team.
The Spaniard has claimed that a minor change in generating downforce has been the reason behind the SF-24’s commendable increase in pace. He also said that the car does not bounce as much as it used to, which offers him better stability during races.
My personal feeling is that it was a very small step in terms of downforce, but it’s just been maybe a bigger step in terms of usable downforce… especially the way you can run the car with stiffnesses, etc. I’m just happy that the car doesn’t bounce as much and it’s into a decent window because that’s… how a Formula One car should behave… It’s just giving us a much better platform to work with.

The Maranello-based team has been in search of a constructors’ title since 2007. Its strategies have caused a major hindrance in the past few years. However, with the arrival of new personnel, Ferrari are amongst the favorites to secure the championship this year.
Williams Racing confirms post-season testing for Carlos Sainz after the Abu Dhabi GP
Williams Racing issued a formal statement that Carlos Sainz will be making his first appearance with the team after the Abu Dhabi GP this year. The Formula 1 season concludes at the Yas Marina Circuit on December 8.

The Grove-based unit is currently among the backmarkers. The team that has won the championship nine times has failed to make its mark in the modern era of Formula 1. However, with the arrival of Sainz and the implementation of new regulations in 2026, the team envisages making a comeback.
