The Spanish GP is well underway for the Ferrari drivers with an unfortunate start to the race. Maranello was hoping for a great finish against Red Bull’s struggling pace in Spain. However, Sainz further down the road committed multiple other mistakes that caused him to fall down the pecking order. Hence, the 29-year-old was frustrated over FIA overlooking his incident with Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz were in an enticing battle to overtake one another. Hamilton had a great drive around the circuit with his newer compounds. Hence, the 39-year-old scored a great maneuver on Sainz, almost colliding with the Spaniard right after his bout with Charles Leclerc in the beginning. As a result, the 29-year-old immediately took to his team radio to ask for the incident to be investigated.
FIA took no further action over the collision and termed it as a racing incident. However, this didn’t sit right with Sainz as he put forth his discontent. He made a snarky remark and claimed that he did not understand why the sport never followed the rule book and took action over incidents.
I dont understand why there's a rule book, and we don't follow it.Carlos Sainz said on his team radio.

Carlos Sainz let Charles Leclerc overtake him at his home race due to slower pace
Carlos Sainz had great hopes of scoring an impressive result at his home race in Spain. However, the race has been nothing short of a nightmare for the 29-year-old. Ferrari has McLaren breathing down their necks in the constructors’ championship. Additionally, Lando Norris is extremely close to overtaking Leclerc in the drivers’ standings. Hence, the Italian constructor will have to run the race with extreme concentration.
Sainz and Charles Leclerc were racing with each other for the fifth position in the race. The 29-year-old decided to go for the three-stop strategy as compared to Leclerc. Hence, due to this, the Spaniard was slower than his Monegasque counterpart. As a result, Sainz was forced to let Leclerc overtake him towards the 55th lap of the Spanish GP.

The constructors championship has bunched up in the top order. Additionally, with Mercedes upgrading form, there could be a great three-way battle for the runner-up spot in the championship. Red Bull will likely dominate the playing field for the remainder of the season as compared to the rival teams.
