At the beginning of the 2024 season Ferrari announced that they will replace Carlos Sainz with Lewis Hamilton next year. The Spaniard had not decided to join any team until the recent race in Belgium. However, the next day, Sainz on social media announced that he will be joining Williams racing on a multi-year contract deal ahead of the 2024 season. He also shared his feelings on why he thought Williams would be the right place for him.

He mentioned that the current driver’s market had been exceptionally challenging and complicated due to various factors. This complexity held him back from signing contracts and plans for his future. Further, Sainz expressed that he is completely confident that Williams is the perfect team for him to continue his Formula 1 career. He felt very proud to be joining a team with such a rich history and impressive success in the sport. Carlos Sainz reveals ultimate goal for his Williams move
Carlos Sainz stated that his main goal is to help bring Williams back to the top of Formula 1, where he believed the team belonged. He viewed this challenge as something exciting and is ready to take it on with a positive attitude. Sainz is confident that Williams has everything it needs to succeed and make a significant impact in the sport again.
